After two days of fly fishing for sailfish in very rough conditions the 16 anglers aboard 8 boats have caught and released a the great captains and total of 58 sailfish on fly. The fly with both hooks and the 20 pound class tippet intact were removed by the mates from 34 of those 58 sailfish for extra points.
Today January 14, 2010 is the final day of the tournament, the wind has dropped and the seas are calmer, I am sitting here at the radio getting ready to begin the announcement of “Begin Fishing Now” Our sign up party at Casa Vieja Lodge was awesome each evening “cocktail and fish tale” party went well.
